One of the true ‘repeaters’- instead of a flush of colour for a relatively short period of time, this sun perennial will spread its bicoloured (reddish pink-to-ivory ) coloured flowers over twelve months with a mature plant having up to 5 separate flushes of flowers. A hardy, tree like succulent with strap like leaves arranged in two rows to resemble a fan. A mature plant may reach 3m and around 1.5m wide in 10 years. From August to October large scarlet flowers appear in abundance, producing an eye catching display. An excellent accent plant and also looks great in pots. It is an evergreen plant known for its architectural, bold sword-shaped leaves, and grey markings on the trunk which look like elephant skin. These handsome plants make a strong stylish statement and are great grown in a couple of large pots by the front door. Grows to 6m in ground or 2m in a pot.
