Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy'

Common Name: Purple - leafed Eastern Redbud.

Size at Maturity: 5 x 5 metres at 20 years.

We grow these in 425mm pots.

A slow to moderate grower with an open and low branching flat topped canopy. Is suited to a wide range of soil types including acid or alkaline. Prefers a moist, deep, well-drained fertile soil. Mulch to retain moisture and lower the soil temperature during summer. Best foliage colour in full sun, but avoid hot, exposed or windy sites. A great low maintenance tree.
